Help! I have problems logging into the Nike Plus website, it always brings me back to the log in screen.
If you are experience "log cycles" - meaning after logging in, you are brought back to the log in screen, asking you to try to log in again. Follow these steps:
Solution #1
1) Clear all cache and cookies
2) Close your browser
3) Go to nikeplus.com
4) Try logging in to Nike Plus again
Solution #2
1) Close your browser
2) Disconnect your internet connection
3) Connect back your internet connection
4) Go to nikeplus.com
5) Try logging in again
Solution #3
1) log out of facebook if you have a fb account
2) close browser
3) try logging in again
The new site sucks, or more correctly - It is impossible to log in so I don't know if it sucks. Stop giving stupid advice that don't work and fix the problem please. Worked fine until the update so don't blame my browser settings. I also changed to Google Chrome, still experiencing the same problem. By the way, should a multinational company like Nike really need to create a site that relies on users clearing browsercache and cookies????
ReplyDeleteMy recent comment will never be published due to censorship. Sounds very old school russian to me...
ReplyDeleteMy last two comments will probably not show due to the approval policy...
ReplyDeleteTried all your solutions but none of them worked. Please fix the problem!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason it works at my office computer, but not at home...
ReplyDeleteI just got my Nike+ watch yesterday for my 40th birthday - a special present - was very excited to open it...BUT...I'm now very unhappy :( Can't even get to join the Nike+...what is the problem with the website? Should I return the watch and buy a GARMIN??? Have read numerous BAD reports about Nike+ Connect... :(
ReplyDeleteI cannot log in either to the Nike+ website.. It always brings me back to the login screen and this is after changing my password 3 times.. Please help...
ReplyDeleteDo you have other computers logged into your account? If there is, please log out of the account on those computers (iPhone, iPad, other smart phones, Nike app that uses your login)
Deleteseriously? Can't be signed into your account from more than one device? As a web developer that is a terrible constraint on your application, that is not intuitive to users and likely causing large call volumes to your help desk...
DeleteI can't log in from my iPhone. It just keeps returning to the login screen. The iPad or computer works fine but I want to save my runs for the year.
ReplyDeleteGetting the exact same problem GoodGuy. It is VERY frustrating.
ReplyDeleteIt's horrible. Tried on 2 different pc's, every time I login in nikeplus.com, I get redirected to login screen over and over again. The password is correct, because when I enter a wrong one, it gives a warning. I tried 4 types of browers, cleared cache & cookies many times but no help. But I can login trough my macbook or iOS devices. Also activating my Nike Fuelband was impossible on a Windows system. Very strange problem, this site cleary has some issues.
ReplyDeleteDear Nike, Amazingly you made your website worse than last years dismal one. Please fire the kid who created your site and hire a team of pros that won't create anything using Flash.
ReplyDeleteIt's simply doesn't work. Thanks Nike for making a great idea become a headache for the consumers.
ReplyDeleteIve tried everyway as well and it doesnt work.
ReplyDeleteBeen looking for solution on looping login... nothing works... stupid advise from nike+ support is try to logon from different browser and computer. What good does it do ? go to my neighbour borrow their computer everytime I want to upload my run ? Does Nike even know the underlying issue ? doesn't seem to be any solution out there other than try this and that.... I've read couple of comments about nike+ only works in US and UK, I'm in singapore and obvoiusly not working well... is this true ? you guys experiencing this login problem all reside outside US and UK ?
ReplyDeleteJust received my fuelband today. Tried on 1 MAC, 3 PC's and was not successful on any of them. My MAC and 1 PC would take me to the last step then get a "unable to complete, try again" type error. The other 2 PC's are not getting me stuck at the newsletter option screen. No matter what option I select I cannot proceed. PATHETIC!
ReplyDeleteThis article was published in June, we are 2 days away from November, and this problem STILL isn't fixed?
ReplyDeleteThey bring out a new Xbox/Kinect program and are not prepared for it. Can't login to the Nike+ site with the account created using their Xbox program. And their support sends you to http://nikeplus.nike.com/kinecttraining which gives you a 404. page not found error. Wow.
ReplyDeleteI am able to log in to the site, I am from Uruguay, but whenever i log in it redirects me to an url that ends in no_device as if the site didn't sync with the connect software.
ReplyDeleteThe connect software says login all the time and too and when I click it, it just opens a browser window in which I log in and there we go again.
Please fix your website.. i cant use my nike fuelband. i cant even register, its waste of time and money..
ReplyDeleteThe earliest comment was post in July and now I still cannot log into the site, great achievement Nike!
ReplyDeletesame problem here, i tried logging in on my ipad, and laptop with browsers chrome, explorer and firefox, which all have failed. so clearly it isn't the browser problem.
ReplyDeleteI had this same "log cycle" error last night after buying my Nike Fuel band. I was about to chuck the band and my laptop across the room. BUT...I tried it again this morning from my office and everything works now. Only difference from last night and this morning is I'm not going through my home AT&T internet. Same laptop, same login, same everything except AT&T, so maybe that was the problem?
ReplyDeleteSame problems logging in too. Enter my user information and log in and it either just hangs or just brings me back to the log in screen. I was able to log in with iPhone, but chrome, explorer, and firefox are all no go.
ReplyDeleteHow is this problem still going on? This amazing and horrendous customer support.
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to get people to leave the Nike+ community?
I followed the steps and got through! Woo thanks!!
ReplyDelete/\ I call BS. This site is down and always will be. I am filing a class action lawsuit for false advertisement and misleading the customer to buy something when it does not function properly.
ReplyDeleteWas about to return the watch until I found out that I can log in from work but not from home. I tried all the steps above - none work for home.
ReplyDeleteThis is really frustrating.
The only reason I suspect that it does not work for some connection is that Nike+ is capturing way too many info (ip, IDENT) etc for the authentication and some ISP with transparent filtering will fail.
Very excited to buy my fuelband, until I discovered I couldn't login to NikePlus. Cleared cache, cookies, switched browsers, did everything...still didn't work. The nike guys said to use a different computer. I'm in AFGHANISTAN, guys. The only other computers are government computers and I'll be damned if I'm hooking anything up to them. Right now I have a very expensive paperweight. WAY TO SUPPORT THE TROOPS, GUYS
ReplyDeleteThanks for screwing up christmas day Nike, utterly pathetic that you've not fixed this yet.
ReplyDeletewake up nike! its 2013 already!
ReplyDeletethis is bs!!! u guys are horrible
ReplyDeleteCompletely unimpressed. Figure your ish out, Nike.
ReplyDeletesame problem... still there..
ReplyDeleteNike! I cannot log into Nike+, but I can log into all other Nike websites. I called today and did all of the above and no one could help. Also, I called AT&T because I was told that it was their issue not Nike's. They couldn't figure it out either. What's up? Please get this fixed I need to start training for some 1/2's and really don't want to have to find another app and website.
ReplyDeletecan not believe it. The issue has been there for so long and still not fixed. Nike sucks.
ReplyDeleteI hopped several browsers and was able to connect with an outdated Internet Explorer 9. The Nike site warns me to upgrade to "enhance my experience" but at least I *get* an experience.
DeleteThis seems like an issue that's both very important to fix and seemingly pretty trivial; what's the deal here?!
Same problem here! Keep getting taken back to the log in screen. Annoying!
ReplyDeleteWTF are you guys doing, get the stupid mobile login to work now, this is so incompetent! WTF!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't even get to the register screen, just the little timer wheel going round and round.
ReplyDeleteWhen I try to register on the mobile site, it informs me that I need to be over 13 years old to register, even though I input my date of birth as 1987...!!!
been trying to get in since Jan. 6 --- obnoxious. something's gotta work!
ReplyDeleteBorrowed a sensor from a friend to try it out. I thought I was going crazy til I found this thread. I can log in from my laptop but all kinds of issues on my phone, which is ridiculous b/c that's where my info is and I can't sync it. I have a Garmin which is WAYYYYY better, but I can't use on the treadmill. This is garbage, glad I borrowed it from someone before I wasted my money on it!
ReplyDeleteAny confirm that it is an issue between Nike+ website and windows/android based operating systems? I have no issues logging in on ipad or mac but cannot log in with windows or my droid. Why would Nike cater to apple users? Seems pretty unprofessional that they will not even address users problems.
ReplyDeleteI have been diligently and persistently attempting to get onto Nike+ and continue to find this same old problem! It is is browser independent and machine independent! Time you guys get it sorted Nike as it is now over 6 months... or better - I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
ReplyDeleteI can't either...
ReplyDeleteim on macbook pro and cant log in via chrome, FF or safari. This is totally unbelievable. I am in Singapore. It worked when i was in london at xmas. Mental.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable. Shame on NikePlus.
ReplyDeleteStill not working! Nike better fix this now!
ReplyDeleteMine is going back tomorrow. It's no use to me if I can't access the data.
ReplyDeleteI switched to RunKeeper a while back because of these issues but realized that all my friends were still on Nike+. Naturally, I went back to Nike+ (despite all the retarded issues that were there in 2011 and 2012). Surprise, surprise, issues are still there. I'm going back to RunKeeper.
ReplyDeleteI was able to create a user name and password using safari but i can't find any of the information that i have been sending to the website....i also tried logging into it off my iphone 4s and I still can't get into it. Keeps bringing me back to the log in page. I am extremely disappointed in this.
ReplyDeleteI purchased a Nike Sports Watch GPS recently and now I regret making the move. I can no longer login into Nike plus because of the widely reported login looping issue. I was able to login for the first two weeks and then it stopped. This means I can not get access to my uploaded exercise information. The Nike help desk people have been sympathetic however they have not provided a solution - they have been providing me with possible fixes for the past 6 weeks. It appears that this issue is wide spread. I have access to six computers (PC + MAC), three browsers and three ISPs and none of these work. I have even tried it in two different countries (Australia and New Zealand). The watch and the associated website is not 'fit for purpose' and should be taken off the market until this long running login issue is resolved. The watch is a waste of money unless all you want to do is tell the time. You have been warned!
ReplyDeleteits just fucked up... cant log into the nike+ account... can in nike account... very frustrating...
ReplyDeleteI was ready to complain as I could log in on my computer but not on my iPhone. UNTIL I turned off Private Browsing in my Safari settings. Once turned off, everything works fine. Step by step...
ReplyDeleteGo to settings.
Choose Safari (settings)
Turn off Private Browsing
Exit
Open your Safari browser and try logging into Nike+.
Hopefully that works for you IPhone users. Sorry I don't have a fix for the others having problems.
Good luck everyone.
Ian I
Thanks Ian, have just tried this on iphone4 and works, what a horrible solution though! Nike need to see all the frustrated people and fix this!
DeleteI am in singapore. At first I couldn't log in to nike+. After I use the proxy of US ip. I log in successfully.
ReplyDeleteWow this thread goes back to July 2012 and it is still not resolved - I have tried all of the suggestions and it still does not work. Will just have to use the iphone app for now. Maybe Nike+ needs more Nikefuel :).
ReplyDeleteThese three solutions did not work. Does this thread reach anyone at Nike s that they can monitor the problem? Or do they even know there is an issue?
ReplyDeleteTurning off Private Browsing and Clearing cookies in the Safari Settings on my iphone worked fine. Was able to log in on the first (and subsequent) tries.
ReplyDeleteI found a number to call. They're working on it. Not resolved but I feel better...I don't know why! :-)

Hey guys, I try over and over again, even made another account with an alternative email address and nothing worked (change browser, reset password a million times).
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that works for me was change my network connection. I was trying with my university's network and didn't work, so when I tried to log using the 3G of my phone, it finally works.
Obviously that this kind of thing is not acceptable, but it's just a alternative until the f***ing NIKE WAKE UP AND FIX IT!!!!

What's most annoying is that you can go to every other page within the site except Nike+. Want to buy a new watch or some shoes? Sure, when you click on that link there is no problem resolving those pages to spend more money. I can login to Nike+ but none of the content renders below the links at the top of the screen.
ReplyDeleteAgree with the comment that says you have a very expensive paper clip.
I can't login to Nike+ site either. I am amazed how a company like Nike can ignore such an issue for so long
ReplyDeletethese idiots at nike track the ip-adress. if the network you are using changes the ip-adress between your request you're logged out. tracking ip-adresses for requests and login-status doesn't bring any kind of security - its just stupid.
ReplyDeletep.s.
ReplyDeletesent this message to nike+ support - we'll see what happens ...
did you notice lot of people having problems login/stay logged-in to nike+
you didn't solve this for nearly one year - and the solution would be so simple.
the amateur-programmers that craeted the nike+ website track the ip-adress for every request - if the ip changes you're logged off. this behavior brings zero security but maximum frustration.
a lot of company and university networks use several internet connections and this way the ip-adress for every request from a single user can change ...
shame on nike!
The only thing that I found that works was taking my fuelband to Apple where I bought it and having them connect it to one of their computers. It worked easily. And now that I'm home and plugged it into my pc, there doesn't seem to be a problem.
ReplyDeleteFor me, changing from chrome to firefox fixed the problem...
ReplyDeleteCannot log in from a phone, so no way to use the app. I don't really care, it's almost comical how long the problem has persisted.
ReplyDeleteI just bought a NIke+ Sportwatch and can't log into my Nike+ Account. This is a stupid white elephant and I am never going to purchase another Nike+ product anymore.
ReplyDeleteTime to shop for a Garmin.
I use Nike+ on my iPhone, and it works well, but I have never been able to log into the site. I don't even know what the site does. Can't believe you sell product that people can't use properly. Big company like Nike, and you can't design a website properly? What the hell?
ReplyDeletePlease fix this piece of crap website. Can't log in half of the time!!!
ReplyDeleterubbish
ReplyDeleteAre any of these issues, well all of them actually being looked at by Nike..?
ReplyDeletecan not join nike from australia at all, ZIP code with no other options
This is so so so so bad Nike...
I can not believe this company has not resolved this..!
I experienced the same login loop. I am using Firefox and was able to get logged in by restarting with the add-ons disabled.
ReplyDeleteGo to Help
Restart with add-ons disabled...
Good luck!
For what it's worth... not able to login either to Nike+. Tried my PC with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. Tried Macbook Air, iPad and iPhone5 with Safari. None worked.
ReplyDeleteI am so annoyed. I finally get all of this stuff and I can't even upload a run. Absolutely ridiculous. I am having the same problems that others were having on their phones months ago.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteDo a factory reset and re-connect your Nikeplus again.
ReplyDeleteGot nike plus for my Sumsung Galaxy S3 min but the stupid thing doesn't give me the option for "my account" so I can change the Miles in to KM... Grrrr and Yes I did change it on the PC.. Didn't help.
ReplyDeleteI read someone login via a US IP, so I gave it a try. WTF moment. It worked. Question is, why!
ReplyDeletePlease do something about it !!!
ReplyDeleteI cant login to nike plus despiste trying all the suggested work arounds. i hope nike CEO fire the head of nike+, wasted my $$$ for buying the GPS sports watch and im not able to see my runs on website. And all my friends don't login anymore on nike+ due to this problem we are shifting to runkeeper, a very decent app.
ReplyDeleteI want to join Nike+ so that I can start using my watch. But i live in Europe, and there is no option to the zip code? Has anyone figured how to get pass that?
ReplyDeletehi shanad,
ReplyDeletei had the same problem, from australia. i used a random us zip code, then once registered, changed my profile to enter my actual location. this worked fine.
hope this helps.
I tried the same trick. I just doesn't work. Nike+ connect simply sucks.
ReplyDeleteGuys. Have you all tried going into your iPhone settings, selecting Safari, and allowing cookies for your sites visited? also you might want to disable "private browsing". Enjoy your run.
ReplyDelete-College Student UC Berkeley
can't login from aus also! WTF
ReplyDeleteGuys just enter an American zip code to get started than change it. I used 2001 than changed my settings.
ReplyDeleteTerrible website! Keeps bringing me back to login page. I can see similar comments starting July 2012. Nike has been unable to fix the issue for 10 months? Wow!
ReplyDeleteThis and Nike.com are the only website I have this trouble with. Why do I have to clear my cache all the time just for this? It's annoying
ReplyDeleteSame here in Indonesia, but i guess it's more about the IP.
ReplyDeleteI can log in with static IP (home line internet connection) but can't log in with dynamic IP (internet connection from my mobile phone).
No option for australian zip code. If no response in 1 week will return to store.
ReplyDeleteSwitching to ACSIS application, shoes too, NIKE loosers!
ReplyDeletePOS! I haven't been able to log in for months!
ReplyDeleteI had a similar problem with my nike+gpswatch but now I think I have found my solution. I have been trying to login over my university's network but as has been found on nike+ webpage, this will not work. So I turned on my iphone's hotspot and was able to login nike+ over a 3G network.
ReplyDeletea student from Singapore
You only ever get one chance with me.
ReplyDeleteI will never buy another Nike product as long as I live.
Ran a half marathon in Sept 2012 and used Nike+ all throughout the training. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteTook months off from running. Signed up to run another half with my entire family. Went out and bought everyone an iPod Nano so we could all use the Nike+ website to track our progress and goals together. Obviously I had no idea that the interface no longer works AT ALL...
Cannot even log them in as new users. Cannot update my existing Nikeplus.com account in any way. Cannot sync workouts from neither my old iPod Nano using iTunes which worked perfectly a year ago nor from my new-ish (new to me) iPhone 4s with the Nike+ Running App. Cannot do anything at all to track my progress other than use different a completely different product.
Wasted hundreds of dollars buying brand new iPods for my family specifically for the Nike+ experience that totally doesn't work.
Why won't Nike fall back to an earlier version that we all know works? Why hasn't this issue been resolved since it's been going on for almost a year if not longer??? WTF?? Why hasn't Apple done something?
Same here in Singapore. Bought Nike+ GPS watch over the weekend and managed to log in once by clearing my cookies etc. Went for my first run with the watch today and now I can't log in anymore and my previous solution does not work anymore. We've always used Garmin but switched to Nike because of the phone's nice interface. However, its useless without the website to track your progress.
DeleteIts funny that Nike can sign a £150m sponsorship deal with Rory McIlroy but they can't fix this old issue with their website. No reason to hang around here, Nike obviously does not care about their end users. Going back to Garmin.
THIS IS INCREDIBLY SAD :(!!!
ReplyDelete
